OREM, Utah — December 14, 2009 — Mity-Lite Inc., the leading manufacturer of durable, lightweight furniture systems, today launched its new Madera table line that keeps the Company’s original promise to bring quality, value-priced, sustainable furniture systems to the commercial marketplace.
More user-friendly than its plywood cousins, the Madera table incorporates a new reinforced and replaceable corner design along with increased leg room, easy-grip aluminum runners for secure hand transport, surfaces that are easy to clean and maintain, and is designed to withstand harsh commercial environments.
According to Mity-Lite Product Management Vice President Jeff Meek, “The Madera line represents Mity-Lite’s ability to react to customer demand for a cost-competitive, quality table. The plywood and metal-legged table is manufactured with a stain-resistant ABS surface. Unlike typical wood tables, a Madera rectangular table can withstand a two-foot drop on its corners, which are easily replaceable, if necessary. With a limited five-year warranty, Madera tables are available in six rectangular table sizes (from 18” x 72” to 30” x 96”) and one 60” round table size.

Mity-Lite Selected As 2009 Manufacturer of the Year (100+ Employees)
OREM, Utah — November 2, 2009 — Utah’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP Utah) today recognized Orem-based Mity-Lite Inc., as its “2009 Manufacturer of the Year – 100+ Employees.” Utah Lt. Governor Greg Bell presented the award to the leading manufacturer of lightweight durable tables and seating products during a presentation today at the State Capital.
In selecting Mity-Lite, MEP Utah recognized the company’s senior management team for transforming its operations into an innovative, performance-driven organization since being acquired in July 2007.
“It takes a talented individual with experience and vision to drive this level of operational change,” said Mity-Lite CEO Randy Hales. “It quickly became clear that Don Blohm was the ideal leader to drive this change when he joined the company as our Chief Operations Officer in September 2008.”

Al-13 Folding Table. Made entirely of aluminum—one of the world’s most recycled materials—the eco-friendly Al-13 Aluminum Table incorporates sustainable design practices to support growing demand for products that can be recycled.
Incorporating a technologically advanced manufacturing process, Mity-Lite’s Al-13 Aluminum Tables offer the customer increased structural integrity and reduced weight.
