Mity-Lite Snags Vegas deal

Mity-Lite Inc., designer, manufacturer and marketer of a variety of multipurpose room furniture, Tuesday announced that the company was awarded a five-year contract to supply tables to the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Along with the contract, Mity-Lite received an order for 1,000 tables. The order will ship early in March. Mity-Lite has been working with the convention center for more than seven years. The company said that the order brings the total number of Mity-Lite tables in the facility to over 3,000.

Even though Mity-Lite was not the low bidder, the company claims it was awarded the contract because other competitive offerings did not meet stringent performance requirements specified by the convention center.

"Mity-Lite has high quality, very durable tables," said Dale Lucero, customer services supervisor for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. "The service we receive from Mity-Lite is excellent. They stand behind their products and are truly committed to customer satisfaction."
